\u00a0H<\/span>ey! \u00a0Guess what? \u00a0I love football! \u00a0I mean I really<\/em> love it. \u00a0I love playing it. \u00a0I love watching it on tv. \u00a0I love playing FIFA. \u00a0And I love getting along to a game and supporting my team.<\/p>\n

In the last twelve months I’ve probably seen more live football than\u00a0any other time I can recall. \u00a0There’s been no better time to be a football fan in this country. \u00a0We hosted an Asian Cup! \u00a0We have entertaining domestic leagues for both men and women! \u00a0We have a knock out competition like the FA Cup! \u00a0And for some reason I don’t really understand, famous international football clubs are queuing up to play in Australia too. \u00a0If you’ve ever had half a mind to go to a football game, that’s all you need. \u00a0It’s cheap, it’s a chance to catch up with some mates and its a great night out.<\/p>\n

In the past twelve months I’ve seen 29 football matches spanning four different leagues and over ten different nations. \u00a0That’s over 2,500 minutes of football! \u00a0I thought it might be fun to share and relive some of my favourite moments.<\/p>\n

A special shout out to my wife Jen for being there with me at all but four of these games (one of which she was overseas). \u00a0There’s been some matches in terrible weather, a few games on at weird times of day and that one period where the Roar played four home games in ten days but she was there for practically every step of the way. \u00a0She’s patient, loving and endlessly supporting.<\/p>\n
