{"id":18083,"date":"2015-08-30T09:52:56","date_gmt":"2015-08-29T23:52:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/?p=18083"},"modified":"2015-08-30T21:55:34","modified_gmt":"2015-08-30T11:55:34","slug":"lego-speed-champions-mclaren-mercedes-pitstop-75911","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/?p=18083","title":{"rendered":"Lego Speed Champions McLaren Mercedes Pitstop 75911"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/taglego.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15550\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/taglego.jpg\" alt=\"taglego\" width=\"1000\" height=\"75\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/taglego.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/taglego-300x22.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/legomclarenbox.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18084\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/legomclarenbox.jpg\" alt=\"legomclarenbox\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/legomclarenbox.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/legomclarenbox-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"dropcap\">A<\/span>s part of Lego&#8217;s ever expanding empire of brands and themes, they introduced\u00a0<em>Speed Champions<\/em>\u00a0in March of this year. \u00a0Racing cars have been a staple of Lego toys for many years but this was the first time that they have done a theme that has\u00a0included licensed vehicles including Formula One cars (McLaren Mercedes and Ferrari) and other sports cars like the Porsche 918 Spyder (also pictured in these photos).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The McLaren Mercdes Pitstop is a great midrange ($50) set that includes the Formula vehicle, three minifigs and a pitstop. \u00a0As you&#8217;ll see from the images below there is a lot of attention to detail in this set which is relatively modest in the number of pieces included but high on detail. \u00a0The pitstop has fuel nozzles, over half a dozen tools, spare tyres, a spare chassis and even a computer terminal with three monitors. \u00a0Of course to achieve this level of detail, the set has\u00a0<em>a lot<\/em> of stickers\u00a0but I think in this case, its kinda warranted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The vehicle itself is a pretty decent facsimile of an actual Formula One vehicle. \u00a0Again, much of the detail is achieved using stickers but the end result definitely delivers. \u00a0As for the minfigs, there is plenty of detail in their uniforms with the McLaren Mercedes branding printed on their uniforms. \u00a0A prized accessory included in this set is the mufflers worn by the pit crew. \u00a0This could double quite nicely as a set of headphones for non-<i>Speed Champions<\/i>\u00a0minifigs and pleasingly, they included a second set in the box.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The finest set in this collection is of course the amazing looking Scuderia Ferrari Truck. \u00a0Hopefully I can pick it up one day before it goes out of print.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I\u00a0believe this will be a &#8216;one and done&#8217;
