Dear Littlefoot,<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t wait to meet you!\u00a0 Nine months is a long time to wait.\u00a0 But you\u2019ve been well behaved so far – you haven\u2019t caused your Mum too much morning sickness – and I\u2019ve enjoyed our chats so far, even if they\u2019re a little one sided.<\/p>\n

I wonder what you\u2019ll look like?\u00a0 I bet you\u2019ll have a big beautiful smile.\u00a0 I hope you have big bright eyes like your mum 😊<\/p>\n

I wonder what your name will be?\u00a0 There was a longlist that had Arthur and Penelope on it.\u00a0 A shortlist with Harper and Archie.<\/p>\n

I have a lot of hopes and dreams and aspirations for you.\u00a0 You already mean the world to me.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to show you the world and see the person you grow up to be.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot of important stuff that I can\u2019t wait to show you and experience with you.<\/p>\n

There are some\u00a0classic movies I want to watch with you.\u00a0 As a kid, I\u2019m pretty sure you\u2019ll love The Court Jester<\/em>, The Adventures of Robin Hood<\/em> and White Christmas<\/em>!\u00a0 Then when you\u2019re a little older \u2013 Casablanca, The 39 Steps<\/em> and The Maltese Falcon<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Wait till you learn about music!\u00a0 There\u2019s a lot of incredible artists you should listen to.\u00a0 The Beatles, Def Leppard, Sigur Ros, the Mountain Goats and the Salt Monkeys all have classic albums I want to share with you.\u00a0 Also, I hope you learn to play an instrument one day.\u00a0 Being in a band is something everyone should experience at least once.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m pretty sure in this household you\u2019ll end up loving sports.\u00a0 It\u2019d be great if you became the next Thomas Broich or Sam Kerr.\u00a0 I guess when you grow up there will be a whole new generation of players that will inspire you to kick a ball, pick up a racquet or swing a bat.<\/p>\n

I wonder what video games you\u2019ll play? \u00a0Will you end up playing loads of Super Mario<\/em> and The Legend of\u00a0Zelda<\/em> like your Dad?\u00a0 Or\u00a0maybe you’ll\u00a0take a liking to\u00a0Civilization<\/em> and Theme Hospital<\/em> like your Mum.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot of the world I want to show you.\u00a0 The incredible sights, sounds and smells of Malaysia where you\u2019ll try your first roti (this is a must).\u00a0 The amazing people and culture of Scotland where your grandparents are from.\u00a0 The awe-inspiring natural splendours of New Zealand where we grew up.\u00a0 You will get to see all of this, I promise!<\/p>\n

You\u2019re due any day now.<\/p>\n

Whatever happens, you should know that you are already so, so lucky.\u00a0 You\u2019re arriving in a country that offers an abundance of riches and opportunities.\u00a0 You\u2019ll have a loving Mum and Dad and a doting family of grandparents, uncles, aunties and extended family who\u00a0will support you through life and will help you become the best person you can be.<\/p>\n

We have so much to show you and share with you.<\/p>\n
