<\/p>\nWow, 10 years!<\/p>\n
Since I last blogged I have<\/p>\n
– got a cat, his name is Leo and he’s kind of mean<\/p>\n
-bought a flat in North London<\/p>\n
-had about 20 different jobs<\/p>\n
I’m still addicted to Ebay and still holding out hope that one day I’m moving away from here. We bought our place last summer and packed up our tiny home in a posh part of the city and moved out here (Hackney\/Tottenham borders) where the sirens sing all night. This doesn’t bother me- the tube station is up the street, the buses take me straight to the East end for a good night out, and I have a pretty back garden where I’ve planted hibiscuses and have a gazebo. The flat is a house conversion, so while we have the bottom part of the house there is a separate flat upstairs. An old schizophrenic lady lives there and she is the bane of my life. Her psychotic fits can last up to a week, day and night, and we’re subjected to listening to her shout and scream to the voices in her head to stop laughing at her. When that happens I start banging the ceiling with the end of a broom. I really hate her.<\/p>\n
After a long time of being unhappy in my various jobs in TV, fate decided to chuck me in the deep end and with any luck I’m hoping to get work in a charity. I am still with Robin and as I write, he is on the other end of the globe filming another documentary series. He’ll be back in August, so Edo I know where you’re coming from. Cooking for one sucks! Thats if you can be bothered. The sun is shining over here and I’ve been sunbathing in the garden reading Alice In Wonderland. The last books I read were the Twilight series and it was like literary junk food.<\/p>\n
