100vw, 315px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was having a chat via Skype with my brother this morning and we spent a bit of time discussing <em>Star Wars<\/em> as he was currently rewatching the prequel films.\u00a0 By an unhappy coincidence, later in the afternoon I heard the news that one of the original concept artists, Ralph McQuarrie, passed away today.<\/p>\n<p>I wasn&#8217;t familar with McQuarrie until his death but reading through some messageboard threads I came across some of his artwork and I think it looks absolutely phenomenal.\u00a0 It&#8217;s clear this guys vision and illustrations for <em>Star Wars<\/em> was a major contributing factor to how the original trilogy ended up looking.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve spent the last hour or so poring over his work.<\/p>\n<p>I thought
