{"id":836,"date":"2009-06-29T23:49:09","date_gmt":"2009-06-29T13:49:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/?p=836"},"modified":"2009-06-30T00:00:09","modified_gmt":"2009-06-29T14:00:09","slug":"new-video-cameras-old-video-tapes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/?p=836","title":{"rendered":"New video camera, old video tapes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jen gave me an early birthday present this year:\u00a0 an HD video camera.\u00a0 She&#8217;s pretty awesome like that.<\/p>\n<p>It must drive her nuts because I only bought a video camera three years ago and I barely used it.\u00a0 All the videos I&#8217;ve taken over the last couple of years have been using the video recording function on my digital camera.\u00a0 It&#8217;s taken me a few years to work out that I&#8217;m most likely to find interesting stuff to shoot on a spontaneous ad-hoc basis and so the most important feature in getting a new dedicated video camera was one that was compact so that I would be more likely to carry it around with me.\u00a0 The old video camera was about the size of a brick so it wasn&#8217;t really all that practical.<\/p>\n<p>Now I have this sweet baby, the JVC<em> HD Everio<\/em>, which is about the same height and length as my Sony <em>Xperia<\/em> phone plus it shoots in glorious high definition!\u00a0 This makes me very happy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<div id=\"attachment_837\" style=\"width: 624px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-837\" class=\"size-large wp-image-837\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thefatwebsite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1395-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"New JVC video camera is small, or Xperia is huge.
