The weeks are going by so quickly now. It seems like it was only last weekend that Matt was still here and I was worrying about my first day back at school. And now I\u2019m in week 6 and I\u2019m starting to think about final assessments and people are fundraising for the formal and I\u2019ve already got my exam timetable (Last exam: Monday the 15th of November\u2026 260 days and counting) and soon I\u2019m going to be doing the same thing, finishing off a degree at uni, married with a mortgage and three kids, worrying about private school fees and tax deductions, fixed or variable interest rates on bank loans, buying apple juice with high GI, having to weed the garden and fold the washing with menopause on the way\u2026\u2026\u2026 aghhhh!! I hope it\u2019s more fun when it\u2019s actually happening. The do say it\u2019s the little things that make life worth living. I hope that when I\u2019m grown up I\u2019ve learnt to find the joy in taking out the compost.<\/p>\n
Speaking of the little things, yesterday I was walking along with my dog and there was a fish on the side of the road. I thought it was amazing\u2026 I mean, you often see dead lizards on the road, dead birds, maybe a dog or cat once in a while but it was a fish. We were up in the hills, so it\u2019s not like it just jumped out of the sea. And from my observations there weren\u2019t many pelicans flying around overhead that might have accidentally dropped it\u2019s dinner. Yet, of the few people I told, there was little to no reaction whatsoever. There was a FISH on the ROAD. That\u2019s not normal! It\u2019s not something you see every day. Well, it\u2019s not something I see every day anyway.<\/p>\n
My new phone arrives on Tuesday. Woo! It\u2019s one of those colour ones with polyphonic sound and a camera. So I\u2019m thinking more camera availability, more crazy photo opportunities\u2026 more fun.<\/p>\n
