If you can believe it, we are almost at the year 2020.

Looking back at the past decade of films, it has been one of the most transformative ones in the history of film.  There has been the rise and rise of Disney who now owns a scarily large portion of the biggest film studios and franchises in the world.  There was also the demise of Blockbuster video and the collapse in popularity of physical media as people shifted away from DVDs to video-on-demand services like Netflix.  This lead to an easier and more convenient way for people to watch movies at home, but it also lead to the almost total erasure of access to films made earlier than the 1980s.

Super hero films dominated the box office in the 2010s as did Disney/Pixar animation and remakes of popular franchises from the Nineties.  The Fast and the Furious and Jurassic Park franchises continued to remain evergreen in popularity at the box office whereas Pirates of the Carribean and Transformers finally saw their success begin to wane.  But who could have predicted that in 2019 Will Smith, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Lopez would all feature in some of the most critically acclaimed films of the year.

The FAT Website has been in the business of making arbitrary lists for over a decade now and this year is no different.  Here are my 100 favourite films of the 2010s.
