The FAT Website has had over a dozen bloggers writing about their lives around the world for over a decade. The FAT Website blog first started in 1999 as a means for five high school friends to stay in touch as they independently traveled around the world.

R.I.P – Leslie Nielsen

I was saddened to hear over the weekend about the passing of Leslie Nielsen, star of The Naked Gun series and scene stealer in Airplane! It says a lot about Nielsen’s lasting impression on popular culture that his death dominated so many news headlines and was mentioned by such a vast cross section of personalities on Facebook and Twitter despite ...

The Ashes Game One – Brisbane

The first Ashes game of the series concluded in Brisbane yesterday. The build up promised an evenly contested battle between Australia and the Old Enemy and it certainly delivered.  The game was a seesaw contest, back and forth, over the five days.  On the first day, Australia appeared to have the ascendancy on the back of a hattrick by Peter ...

Needless to say, Jen was pretty stoked.

Mad Hatters Tea Party

Jen held a Mad Hatters tea party on Saturday for Jule’s birthday.  She went all out with cakes, pastries, macarons and sweets.  They decorated the apartment as well and everyone who attended had their own custom made funky hat.  All said, it was one of the most creative ways to celebrate a birthday I’ve seen.

A-League Round 17 – Brisbane Roar vs North Queensland Fury

Retired England cricketer Ian Botham turned up at Suncorp to show his support for the Brisbane Roar on Saturday. This week we had a local derby against the underwhelming North Queensland Fury.  It’s only the Fury’s second season in the A-League.  In their opening season they signed up God to play as their striker.  He worked out pretty well for ...
