Amanda Palmer played a free show at the Gallery of Modern Arts yesterday afternoon. It’s about two minutes walk from where I live.
There was a pretty good turn out. I reckon about two hundred people? It was kind of nice to just chill out on the lawn in front of the gallery and just lie around listening to someone play a ukele and belt out Radiohead covers. It was kind of like attending a Wiggles concert. You got to play follow the leader and wave your arms around for a bit but then after that, when you felt tired, you got to lie down on the grass while she sang to you.
A lovely way to spend the afternoon. Sadly…holidays are over soon and I’m back to work next Monday.
