dan, yes it is funny. lucky you saw it on the dvd though. i sat through the credits in the theatre…looking like a goofball. though there were a few other people there so i didn’t look too stupid. if you’re thinking of picking up the graphic novel, well…um…do. it’s good.
if you like that teenage/slice of life style of comic book you should check out The Collected Strangers in Paradise Vol. 1. great shit. it’s about 3 people. 2 girls and a guy. and their fucked up love triangle relationship. yes, there are lesbians. kind of like a modern day archie comic. without the cheese.
seriously though, if you guys are wanting to get into comics lemme know and i can recommend some stuff to ya. just let me know what kinda stuff/genre interests you.
