Mitchell and Chrystal’s Wedding

Over the weekend, Jen and I attended the wedding of our friends Mitchell and Chrystal at Ocean View.  Mitchell and Chrystal have been together for fourteen years but had a whirlwind engagement that lasted just three weeks.  That’s kind of what I like about them as a couple though – they quite happily march to the beat of their own drum.  We’ve wined and dined a whole bunch together and Chrystal also introduced us to the Queensland Firebirds.

The ceremony and reception, held at the picturesque Gazebo and Vineyard Restaurant in Ocean View, was a very sweet and elegant affair.  The weather behaved itself, there was good company all evening and we ate and danced till the wee hours.

I’d happily go back to Ocean View.  Our accommodation was at a two bedroom bungalow that had a terrific view and with no television, there was nothing for it but to lie in hammocks, play board games and gorge ourselves on wine and cheese.  The perfect weekend.
