In the last few years, Jen and I have really gotten to enjoy the annual Eurovision song contest. This kitschy pop music trashathon perfectly captures the best qualities of pop music that I personally liked from the Eighties and Nineties but feel is missing in most contemporary pop.
It’s been a week since Eurovision 2012 and after listening to a couple of the tracks again, I’ve concluded that the two best songs were the ones that were voted first (Sweden) and last (Denmark). I have no idea why the Danish song finished last but it was pretty catchy. And the Swedish one was awesome, no arguments there.
The best part of Eurovision 2012 was definitely the Turkish Manboat though.
