Lego Minifigs Series 8

Lego Minifigures Series 8 have arrived in Australia!  Too be honest, it doesn’t seem that long ago that Series 7 arrived on our shores.  Having said that, there are some pretty sweet minifigs in this set and its a lot cheaper and friendlier for shelf space in my apartment than getting another modular building. My first haul yielded the deejay, ...

Lego Lord of the Rings: Gandalf Arrives 9469

To paraphrase Walter Sobchak, the beauty of the Gandalf Arrives set is its simplicity. This Lord of the Rings set is taken from one of the earliest scenes in the Fellowship of the Ring when Gandalf makes his return to The Shire.  The minifig for Gandalf looks awesome, his cart is made up of only a handful of pieces but ...

Lego Modular Series: Grand Emporium 10211

Released two years ago and clocking in at 2,182 pieces, the Grand Emporium is my first pick up in their modular building line. It’s an excellent build that took 3 of us about two hours to complete, doing a floor each.  It comes with a detailed interior, a revolving door, interconnected floors with escalators and seven minifigs (five people, two ...

Lego Minifigs: Series 7

I finally picked up my first couple of Series 7 minifigs. I got Red Riding Hood, The Olympic Swimmer, The Black Knight and the Tennis Player.  Most of them are improved in appearance by wearing a Stormtrooper helmet.
