Clubbed to death

After an uneventful five-hour flight from Perth, I am now back in Brunei, and my legs are still killing me. Last Friday night was spent roaming the nightclubs of Perth city, checking out the social scene, and meeting up with hot chicks from my old school. The lights, the music, the alcohol, it was all a sensory overload, the like of which I had not experienced before. Needless to say, I spent the entire night dancing like a lunatic before collapsing on a beach somewhere to soothe my weary limbs and back. And they still be hurtin’. So let me just say this now.

Aussie. Clubs. Kick. Ass.

Last night I went to a party of sorts at a friend’s house. As a result I only had a few hours of sleep before heading to the airport for my hideously early flight. Waking up at 8 am is just disgraceful. Still, the party was cool, and I got to meet and greet several people I knew in a past life.

I know it’s been said many, many times over, but man, does time seem to fly by nowadays. I’m starting to worry about the sudden acceleration in time. I’m thinking that sooner or later, something’s going to be coming up of real importance, and whoosh! Damn. It’s gone already. Call me crazy, but it’s happening. No, in fact, do call me crazy, so that I know it’s all in my mind.  Time sure flies by when you’re having a good time.

So. It’s the end of another holiday. Back to school on the 11th (Thursday). After that it’s six months of school left before the big scary prospect of living by myself in a foreign country rife with inflation, corruption and taxes.

I can’t wait.
